Four star top 100 PG KyKy Tandy verbaled to Xavier and became the fifth four star player in their 2019 class. Nova and Xavier are getting it done with their recruiting and why both are consistent NCAA teams.

Steele is a great recruiter obviously. If he can coach, watch out. With his Cintas connection, unless he gets divorced, he will be there a long time and Xavier will be set for a really long time.

I like the players that we have and think that we will be competitive over the next couple of years, but we are NOT keeping up with the Joneses.

flnj.. you win the team spirit award.. but it's ok to tip your cap and acknowledge that we haven't done a good job regarding this class.

When looking at recruiting rankings I think the most fair and accurate way to judge is based on the 247 composite. It’s an average of all the major recruiting services.

Instead of picking the one ranking service that supports your argument/agenda in a particular situation, you should base your opinion on the composite. The composite has all four kids ranked as 4-star recruits.

HallBall10 I would take Ike who is sitting out this yr and will be part of Seton Hall's 2019 class over either one of Xavier's big men from their 2019 class. (It is not even close)

Ike is part of our 2019 class and it has not been determined yet who will make up the rest of our class.

We're all waiting to see , other then Ike, who makes up our 2019 class . It's three weeks till the early signing period begins and the silence concerning our recruiting is deafening.

Ike is a very nice addition. I'd probably rather him than any single player Xavier recruited. And I'm on board that it doesn't matter if you get the kid from transfer, high school or juco.. but
Xavier landed kids ranked 92, 101, 106,121, and 243. If we landed 4 kids in the top 125 it would represent one of our best recruiting years and you would be estatic. It's ok to acknowledge that Xavier has a very solid recruiting class (currently ranked 10th in the country).

I'm not overly worried about our class bc I think we have a solid team for next year, I think we'll add one piece either grad transfer or juco, and I think our 2020 class will add at least 2 top 125 type players.

Don't see us hauling in a great 2019 class, but much like HallBall, not overly worried. We don't have a lot of opportunity as we bring almost everyone back from this year. Only change is (-) Nzei and (+) Ike. 2020 class and beyond will be interesting.

Actually he is a transfer so he is not part of that class.

What really matters is Ike will be playing with the 2019 class. It is more important when he is actually on the court playing in games. So, while he is technically a member of the 2018 class.

What matters is that we not not miss a recruiting cycle and accept that we won’t wind up bringing in a high quality class. It is , in college basketball, all about the quality of the talent you bring in and this team still needs to bring in high quality talent every year and that means more then a single player at that level.

There are still some high quality 2019 players available whether it is H.S., Grad Transfer or JUCO. We should bring in one or two at the most 2019 players and then at least 4 2020 players. I fully expect to bring in an excellent 2020 class.

What defines “excellent”? It’s subjective. There are fans who genuinely think our 2018 class was excellent, while others consider it subpar.
